Sex addict begins a ritual after an obsession, and during this ritualized behavior they will enter an almost trancelike state (bubble).
The goal is to experience trancelike ego states after performing certain rituals.
For example, an exhibitionist who knows that his behavior is hurtful to others will start "cruising" after a period of fantasy and preoccupation, and as a result will "get into my addict," act out, and then feel terrible when he returns to a more normal ego state.
