Medically, there is little available to ease the withdrawal process:
using medications such as sleeping medicines (Valium, Librium) is risky because many sex addicts are also chemically dependent
antidepressants may be used at some point (depression and suicidal thoughts)
What is it: Clonodine or Naltraxoneappear are helpful in cocaine and opiate addictions - maybe it works with sexual addiction?

Many different agents have been cited in case reports as helpful in treating impulsive-compulsive sexual behavior and paraphilias:
These agents have all been reported to be helpful in treatment of sexual impulsivity-compulsivity and paraphilia.
Although used widely in the treatment of criminal sexual offenders (pedophiles), anti-androgen treatment like medroxyprogesterone acetate and gonadotropin-releasing hormone have not been used to treat sexual impulsivity-compulsivity.
These agents probably would not be ideal treatments as they tend to eliminate sexual desire entirely.
